How to Get from Antalya Airport to Göcek: 2027 Transport Guide

Updated 8 min readAuthor: Mavi Transfer

The quickest way from Antalya Airport to Göcek is the inland road over the Taurus Mountains via Korkuteli: roughly 230–240 km and about 3.5–4 hours including a short stop. The coastal D400 through Kaş is far prettier but runs to more than 300 km and well over five hours. Your realistic options are a private transfer, a bus-and-dolmuş combination or a hire car. And if you haven't booked flights yet, it is worth checking Dalaman Airport, which is only about 25 minutes from Göcek.

This guide walks through both routes, every option, timings for yacht charter guests and what to do if you land late at night. We cover Göcek itself (marinas, where to stay, things to do) in separate articles, so here we stick to getting there.

How far is Göcek from Antalya Airport?

Antalya Airport sits east of the city, while Göcek is a small bay town in the Fethiye district of Muğla province, just across the provincial border. Think of the trip in two legs: Antalya to Fethiye, then a final 30 km (about 30 minutes) west from Fethiye to Göcek.

  • Inland route (Korkuteli – Söğüt – Fethiye): roughly 195–222 km from Antalya to Fethiye, around 2 hr 45 min to 3.5 hours by car. Door to door from the airport to Göcek, allow 230–240 km.

  • Coastal route (D400 via Kemer, Kumluca, Finike, Demre, Kaş and Kalkan): about 290–295 km to Fethiye and 4.5–6 hours by car, so over 300 km to Göcek.

Actual times depend on season, traffic and stops. In July and August, the stretches through Kemer and Kaş can be painfully slow.

Inland road or coast road: which should you take?

Via Korkuteli: the sensible choice after a flight

Almost all transfer drivers and coaches use this route. It climbs out of Antalya into the Taurus range, crosses the Korkuteli plateau and drops down to Fethiye over the Karabel pass, which sits at about 1,300 m. Much of it is dual carriageway; the bends come mostly on the descent towards Fethiye.

  • Why it wins: one to two hours shorter and much less tiring, which matters after an early start from the UK or Scandinavia.

  • Worth knowing: in winter the high ground can have fog, ice and occasional snow. Even in summer it's noticeably cooler up there, so keep a light layer handy.

Via Kaş on the D400: a road trip, not a transfer

The D400 hugs the Lycian coast and is regularly described as one of Turkey's most beautiful drives. The section between Kaş and Kalkan, above Kaputaş beach, is the famous one. But it's narrow and winding, runs through busy towns, and five or six hours of it straight off a plane with the family and suitcases is a lot.

If you want to see it, treat it as a sightseeing day: lunch in Kaş, a stop at Kaputaş, and arrival in Göcek by evening. If you have a yacht handover or a hotel dinner booked, take the inland road.

Antalya Airport to Göcek: your transport options

1. Private transfer

Once you've collected your bags, your driver meets you at the arrivals exit with a name sign and takes you straight to your hotel, villa or marina gate. On Mavi Transfer's Antalya Airport to Göcek transfer page you simply add your flight number when booking, so a delayed flight doesn't leave you stranded.

  • The vehicle is for your party only; child and baby seats can be requested at booking.

  • Drop-offs can be planned to specific marina meeting points in Göcek, such as D-Marin or Skopea.

  • The price depends on vehicle, group size and exact address, and is shown instantly on the route page. You can compare vehicles on our fleet page.

For families, groups with lots of luggage and anyone landing late, this is the least stressful way to do a four-hour journey. All our private routes are listed under private and VIP transfers.

2. Bus and dolmuş (the budget option)

It can be done by public transport, but expect at least two changes:

  1. Airport to Antalya bus station (otogar): municipal Antobüs services (line 600 as of 2026) run from the terminal to the otogar in about an hour, roughly every 90 minutes through the day. Check current times and how to pay before you travel.

  2. Antalya otogar to Fethiye: many companies run this route throughout the day, taking around three hours, usually on the inland road. A few coaches are sold through to Göcek, which can take about 4.5 hours with stops.

  3. Fethiye to Göcek: dolmuş minibuses cover the last 30 km; buses heading for Dalaman can also drop you at the Göcek turn-off.

With connections, it easily adds up to 5–6 hours. Fine for a solo traveller with a backpack; hard work with big cases and small children.

3. Hire car

Picking up a car at Antalya Airport makes sense if you plan to drive throughout your holiday. If you're on a yacht for a week, though, it will just sit in a car park. Points to consider:

  • Dropping the car at Dalaman instead usually means a one-way fee, so ask when you book.

  • Three and a half hours of mountain road after a long flight is tiring; we would not recommend doing it at night.

  • Parking in central Göcek and around the marinas is limited in high season.

4. Should you fly into Dalaman instead?

Göcek's natural gateway is Dalaman Airport (DLM), about 22 km away and roughly a 25-minute drive (Dalaman Airport's regional guide). Dalaman is the better choice when:

  • there is a direct or one-stop flight (for example via Istanbul) from your home airport at a similar fare;

  • you're landing in the evening or at night, when 25 minutes beats four hours on a mountain road;

  • you have a fixed charter check-in to make.

Antalya tends to come out ahead when package-holiday prices or flight availability favour it, or when you're spending a few nights in Antalya first. For the Dalaman side, read our Dalaman Airport to Göcek guide or book a Dalaman to Göcek transfer.

Yacht charter guests: timing your arrival

Göcek is one of Turkey's busiest charter bases, and plenty of guests fly into Antalya and head straight to the marina. A few tips:

  • Check-in is typically in the afternoon. Exact times vary by charter company, so add yours to your transfer booking.

  • Morning landing? No need to rush. Stop for lunch on the way and you'll reach the marina in good time. If you're early, the town is a pleasant place to wait.

  • Late-afternoon landing? Allow for four hours on the road and let the charter company know you'll be arriving late.

  • Going home: check-out is usually in the morning, so for an afternoon flight from Antalya you'll need an early start from the marina.

  • Tell us which marina you need (Municipal Marina, D-Marin, Skopea and so on). Our guide to Göcek marinas explains the differences.

Luggage and late-night arrivals

  • Luggage: charter companies usually prefer soft bags, as hard cases are awkward to stow on board. Mention golf bags, dive kit or pushchairs when booking so we can send the right vehicle.

  • Landing at night: airport buses wind down around midnight and intercity connections thin out. Getting to Göcek by public transport late at night isn't realistic; book a private transfer or stay in Antalya and leave in the morning.

  • Breaks: there are places to stop around Korkuteli and on the approach to Fethiye. Just ask the driver if the children need a break.

  • Staying in touch: your confirmation includes the meeting point and driver contact details, and Mavi Transfer's support line runs 24/7. You can also reach us through our contact page.

The bottom line

If you're landing at Antalya, a private transfer on the inland road via Korkuteli is the quickest and most comfortable way to reach Göcek, taking about 3.5–4 hours. Buses and dolmuş minibuses are cheaper but will use up half your day. If your flights aren't booked yet, compare Dalaman first. When you're ready, you can check prices and vehicles and book in a few minutes on our Antalya Airport to Göcek transfer page.
